How to prevent freezing of the micro water pump in winter?

Release date:2019-12-17 Author: ly Click:

It is common for the water in the micro water pump to freeze, especially in the north, where the water is easy to freeze in winter.

The reason why the miniature water pump needs to be antifreeze is that the volume of the water swells below zero. If the water left in the food-grade water pump is not cleaned out, the force of the volume expansion when the water freezes will cause the pump body to burst and cause Unnecessary damage.

Why does water expand in volume below zero? Shouldn't water expand with heat? People generally think that water expands with heat. But in practice, the characteristics of water are not the same as people think.

1. Water has abnormal swelling. As shown in the figure, the density of water varies with temperature in the range of 0℃~10℃. According to the image, it can be seen that when the temperature is equal to 4℃, the density of water is greater; in the range of 0℃~4℃, water has the properties of heat shrinkage and cold expansion. This is the reason why the icing of the micro food grade water pump will cause the pump body to burst;

2. After the water changes from liquid to solid, that is, after it becomes ice, the volume will increase, and it will always remain solid, but it will not increase. So the moment when the water turns into ice is the critical moment for swelling. Just because freezing means the water freezes and swells and damages the equipment, so the water cannot be frozen. What should I do? First, drain clean water, and second, keep the water moving.

Draining clean water is mainly for deactivated pumps and deactivated pipelines. Regarding pumps that are not necessary in winter, the medium in the pump and pipeline must be exhausted. The specific method is: close the inlet and outlet valves, vent the medium in the pump body from the bottom, disconnect the circulating water if there is circulating cold water, and purge it with nitrogen.
